Core Performance Physical Therapy is looking to hire an energetic, professional, and well-organized medical front office receptionist to thrive in our outpatient orthopedic clinic. Applicant must be able to communicate well with other staff, multi-task in a fast paced environment, have excellent organizational skills, and maintain a positive attitude with other employees and patients. Applicant must be able to work and commute to both Newport and Irvine locations.
Responsibilities:
- Willingness to work at 2 different locations; Irvine and Newport Beach
- Ability to professionally answer phone calls as well as make outbound calls
- Schedule patients accordingly and set up initial appointments for new patients
- Call on insurance verifications
- Collect copayments and assist with medical billing
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to maintain proper clinic flow
- Welcome patients with a professional and approachable personality
- Ability to work with diverse personalities and employees
- Performs general clerical duties including faxing, copying, filing, distribution of memos and daily schedules etc. as needed and maintains needed supplies to conduct daily work
- Responsible for maintaining knowledge of providers, facility locations, facility personnel, etc
- Preferred if candidate has previous experience using TheraOffice or another computer scheduling software program
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred 1-3 years experience working in medical office setting
- Strong customer service skills
- General understanding of HIPAA guidelines
- Proficient with computers; including Microsoft Excel and Word
